My Winter Essentials

If it were down to me, I would be in hibernation right now only to emerge when the great british temperature reaches a steady 24 degrees – however, with 2 babies – hibernation is not an option. I now have no choice but to brave the bitterly cold elements for the sake of Scarlett and Savannah (although am not convinced they particularly love it either if Scarlett’s face when building a snowman with Daddy is anything to go by!).

A fabulous winter coat, new knee high boots, even the beautiful AW12 colours that hit our high streets struggle to be enough to keep me happy come January, it is all starting to look rather tired but until sandal season is upon us I have a few fab products to share with you that see me through this frosty time!

L’Occitane Shea Butter hand cream – Dry hands are inevitable at this time of the year and this is the best cream I have come across that keep them soft and moisturised.

The new Chubby Stick by Clinique  – This was a Christmas gift that I wear every day! It moisturises like a balm, appears like a gloss and applies like a lipstick you don’t need a mirror for! A truly lovely product, and ideal if you are someone that rarely wears lipstick. I keep it in the front pocket of my nappy bag to easily apply for an instant transformation before getting out the car.

Carmex lip balm – Despite it looking more like a superglue, this reasonably priced balm is the ultimate product for keeping your lips soft and supple in these wintery conditions. Best to buy a few and keep 1 in each of your bags!

Hunter socks – A total necessity, these Chunky Cable Knit socks look great and transform your wellys in to boots. They have a huge range, all with snuggly fleece socks, I have these in grey so that they will go with everything (including my purple Hunters!) but really when it comes to welly’s – the brighter the better! Screen Shot 2013-01-22 at 09.11.27

Absolut Repair by L’Oreal Professional – The richest hair moisturiser I have come across. It’s important to treat your hair to an intense conditioning every now and again and this product is the ultimate in moisturising tired and dry wintery hair. Ideally you would use with the shampoo from the same range for best results.
