Luxury Christmas Gift Guide For Her 2016

Well for obvious reasons this is always my favourite post to put together… With something for every price range, this is basically my ultimate wish list this Christmas!

Kindle Paperwhite, Amazon UK from £79.99

I’m a little late to the Kindle party, I just couldn’t get my head around never turning a page again, but the reality is – these are just soooo much easier to read from! And I realise now it is near on impossible trying to turn a page with a sleeping baby in your arms. This really has brought all the joy back to reading for me, I can easily take this with me when I am waiting for the girls to finish their after school clubs, read in the night without needing to turn the light on and I can make the font size bigger to avoid straining my eyes – it is just so convenient! The Kindle Paperwhite is the newest edition to the Kindle family and will inevitably be a popular choice this Christmas.

Arbonne Intelligence Genius Ultra Anti-Ageing Set, £235

This is a pretty mega gift for the woman in your life… The Genius Ultra is a non-invasive hand held facelift device. It uses ultherapy technology to safely apply your skincare deeper into your skin for truly remarkable results. Only launched this year it has already won the 2016 Pure Beauty Awards for Best Electrical Beauty Device. I have been using this for about 8 weeks now, it is part of my bedtime skincare regime and the difference around my eyes is incredible. The set includes the RE9 Serum and Lifting and Contouring eye cream and until December 15th, Arbonne have a rather special Christmas offer on where you get the Nourishing Facial Oil (SRP £59) and a little ‘on the go’ bag for the device free with the set. That is £465 worth of goodies for £235. Remarkable!!! There is also a 45 day money back guarantee on this device so if you aren’t seeing the results you’d hoped for, Arbonne will give you a full refund – well as of yet, I am pretty sure there haven’t been any returns! Get in touch by email if you want more info 🙂

Willow of London Personalised Phone case, £39

This phone case is a popular choice with celebs, most recently I spotted Victoria Beckham with this style on instagram. Willow of London do a huge selection of personalised cases and leather goods, I think this makes a gorgeous stocking filler!

JL_1024x1024.jpg

Burberry, Cashmere Scarf, £350

Now if money is no object (what I mean by that guys is that you can’t put a price on love) then head straight to Burberry for the classic cashmere scarf. For those extra brownie points you can get complimentary personalisation on the edge of the scarf! This is super soft and this heritage check will never go out of fashion.

Gucci bag, £560

Oh I love this. I have had my eyes on it for AGES. The perfect mini cross-body bag to take you through day to night. Just big enough for your phone, lip gloss and cards, what more do you need!?

Kikki K Mindfulness Journal, £21

If you have a friend in to her personal development you must check out the Kikki K stationary, they do the most fabulous collection of inspirational journals and diaries. Mindfulness is a focus of mine in 2017 and I would love this in my stocking this Christmas!

mindfulness_journal_inspiration_2016_mint_cover.jpg

Jo Malone Lime, Basil and Mandarin Home Candle, £42

This is my favourite Jo Malone scent. It’s an extravagance not many of us would buy ourselves but there is nothing nicer than snuggling on the sofa and enjoying the gorgeous glow of a candle. All Jo Malone gifts are so beautifully packaged and this is the perfect gift for that £50 Secret Santa!

Christmas Gift Guide for Kids 2016

Christmas ads are in full swing on TV, the Quality Streets are on offer in Sainsbury’s and the kids are already counting down the sleeps until the big day. Like it or not, iiiiitttt’ssss CHRIIIIISTMAS!!!!! I actually love this time of year, it can’t come early enough as far as I’m concerned, but with Savannah’s birthday just the week before, it does mean I need to start getting organised early doors if I am to enjoy the festive time!  This starts with the kids… I have 3 daughters aged 5, 3 and 19 months, there should be something from this little lot to keep them happy!

Tea Cup Play Cafe, GLTC £148

The only time all my girls get on is when they are in character! If they are just Scarlett and Savannah they can barely stand being in the same room as one another, but as soon as you give them a couple of fantasy names they are the best of friends! So, as you can imagine – I really encourage role play… I love this little cafe play set, and the best bit is whilst one is behind the counter, there are 2 stools to sit on so Anastasia can finally get involved in their games! Great Little Trading Company currently have a big sale on so check it out quick!

Screen Shot 2016-11-09 at 13.44.07.png

Micro Trike, £69.95

We often go for long walks around Virginia Waters, Scarlett on her bike, Savannah on her scooter and Anastasia is currently stuck in the buggy. Well now she can be one of the big girls with the new Micro Trike! It has an extendable handle and is incredibly easy to manoeuvre. She’s going to love the freedom of feeling like she is riding a bike 🙂

trike-2_1.jpg

Bernie’s Number Bus, GLTC £25.60

It’s an oldie but a goodie. I have yet to meet a child that doesn’t love this bus, whatever age they are they just can’t resist sitting the little people on the bus and giving it a ride around the lounge floor. This is a perfect gift for very little people and will become a toy passed down to the future generations. L2340_BERNIE_BUS_SIDE1.jpg

Cinderella Dream dolls house, Kidcraft, Tesco Direct £154.99

OMG. Savannah is going to seriously lose her calm when she sees this Cinderella dolls house, just look at it!!! Even I can’t wait to get it set up! This is actually Savannah’s birthday present, she loves nothing more than playing with little princess figurines so there actually couldn’t be a better present out there for her! Kidcraft do a huge selection of giant dolls houses, I’d advise shopping around online for the best deals!

Leaf it to Me Bath and Body set for Kids, £39

As you may know by now, I am very pro ‘safe’ products and since being introduced to the vegan friendly brand Arbonne I am very conscious of the ingredients in products and the effects they have on our health. I will never again use anything that includes SLS or Parabens on my families skin and as part of the Christmas range, Arbonne have introduced a bath and body set formulated for kids and designed for them to be able to apply themselves, the girls are going to feel very grown up receiving these in their stockings!

5569_Z1_ArbonneKids_BathBodySet.png

Princess Poppy Troll, Tesco Direct, £47.49

So I suspect this is going to be the ‘impossible to get’ present of 2016, fortunately Scarlett hasn’t spotted it yet and I intend to keep it this way! She loved the movie so we have found some miniatures for the girls stockings but my advice to you is if you want this for Christmas day, register for notifications when it comes in to stock ASAP!!

A1XOWpR0iSL._SL1500_.jpgSelfie Mic, Smyths Toys, £15.99

I love this gift, honestly I debated putting it on my own Christmas wish list… You download the free app on your phone and using the selfie stick you can create your own music videos singing in to the mic! AMAZING!!! For just under £16 I think this makes a fabulous stocking filler for all the little pop stars in your lives 🙂

151648_E.jpg

Boden Bunny Slippers

There’s nothing nicer than new sleepwear for Christmas, so whilst the kids will get some little goodies on Christmas eve including chocolates and nighties, I’m going to save these gorgeous little bunny slippers for Christmas morning. Boden have a sale on right now and have a beautiful collection of nightwear.

16GSPR_54009_PBL.jpg

Fancy Dress, George at Asda

We have all been stung by the Disney Store prices at one point or another, but since I discovered George at Asda I will never look anywhere else for the girls fancy dress. The quality is just amazing and the details are better than any other I have seen but what is really amazing is the affordable price. Scarlett is after Rey from Star Wars and Savannah who believes she is a real life princess just needs Aurora to complete her collection.

Screen Shot 2016-11-13 at 16.55.36.png

Lego Friends Roller Coaster, John Lewis £71

Scarlett is really into Lego all of a sudden and it’s really lovely to have a hobby that she can do with Daddy for some quality one on one time, this set should keep them busy for a while!

235666413.jpeg

The Fairy Reward Box, £35

I think this is such a great take on the standard rewards chart (which had little effect on my girls…). With this beautiful little fairy house comes 20 small wooden stars, every time your child does something good they get to put a star in the house, once the house is filled with stars – the “fairy” replaces the stars with a reward! They do several designs including a gorgeous Pirate treasure chest. They come with a free personalisation and are currently on sale!

fairy-and-pirate-reward-boxes.jpg

Cuddlebug, £34.99

This is such a cute little stocking filler. These bath towels are made from the finest bamboo fibres so are super soft and the girls are going to love wrapping up in them after their baths. And hey, whatever encourages them to have a bath is good with me!

Father’s Day Gift Ideas 2016

Whilst you can’t go wrong with a pair of socks and a bar of whole nut, if you fancy something a little different this Father’s Day – check out some of my ideas below!

Amazon Fire TV Stick, £34.99

There is nothing quite like getting stuck in to a good box set. Settling in to an episode of House of Cards once the kids are in bed is our new ‘going out’! With this little gizmo, you have access to over 50,000 popular movies and TV shows available to buy or rent as well as over 4,200 channels, apps and games. And if dad has Amazon Prime, he has unlimited access to Prime Video – a catalogue of over 15,000 shows and movies available on-demand. This is a very big gift in a very dinky package!

234377383alt2.jpeg

Pacapod Prescott Changing Bag, £115

A favourite with the celebrity Daddies, the Prescott satchel has been spotted on Benedict Cumberbatch and Chris Hemsworth. This gift is sure to be a hit for a stylish ‘hands on’ dad this Father’s Day. As with all of the Pacapod bags, it hits all the practical baby boxes without sacrificing on style and even has a hidden padded laptop section so is also great for commutes or off duty days out.

Go Ape Experience from £33

I have heard such great things about the Go Ape experience, it just sounds perfect for families or couples – I have actually booked for Paul and I to do this for our day date next month! Children as young as six can monkey around on Tree Top Junior, while older children can fly through the sky on a zip wire, race through the forest on a Segway or swing through the trees like Tarzan on the Tree Top Adventure. What a great Father’s Day out – it certainly beats staying indoors all morning slaving over his favourite lunch!

There are 29 Go Ape adventures around the country – find your nearest course here!

RE9 Advanced For Men Set from £24

This is the ultimate in Mens skincare. Only launched in April it is already a best seller and has had unbelievable press coverage. The anti-ageing results are visible within 4 weeks (usually much, much sooner) but the smooth experience of using the products will be enjoyed immediately! As with the entire Arbonne range, the products are vegan friendly and totally botanical. If the Dad in your life takes care of his skin – this is the gift for him!

Red Letter Day, Indoor Sky Diving Experience, £100

I recently did this with my husband and 4 year old daughter, it was AWESOME! Such a fun afternoon out as a family. You’ll be given full training on how to compose yourself and what to expect ahead of the flight, and will have the support (and peace of mind!) of a flying expert in the wind tunnel with you. If heights aren’t your thing, this is a great way to experience the sensation of sky diving. This gift will certainly have the wow factor this Father’s Day! Check out the full range of experiences on offer at Red Letter Day here.

Top Christmas Gifts for Kids 2015

The Christmas count down has officially started, John Lewis said so. So without a second to waste, (last year I was still shopping on Christmas eve!) I am getting seriously organised and researching the most exciting presents for children. Last year the Christmas budget was blown on fad toys and gimmicks from their favourite films and TV programmes, but without a new Disney blockbuster to rinse our pockets dry (cue Let it Go!), I have decided to go down a different route of present buying and have been looking more at timeless pieces that will give years of enjoyment. Here are the best gifts for children I have come across, some are suitable from 6 months on…

Galahad Toy Castle, GLTC, from £64

My girls spend hours absorbed in a fantasy world of Princesses and dragons and would absolutely love this castle and mat set from GLTC. This is the perfect gift for little boys but equally, I can already see Savannah holding Rapunzal hostage at the top of the tower and hosting a ball for Princesses in the main hall!
